In the past year there has been some great products that have come to light in the area of viral marketing strategies. There is also some more fantastic products waiting in the wings, yet to be released in the coming year.
In the early part of 2007 came Tim Brocklehurst's Viral Spiral. This product has got to be one of the hugest and best creations in the viral marketing arena. It definitely hadn't been seen before. I dare say, if there are going to be some type of copy cat types of products trying to replicate what this amazing product has become, then they are definitely going to have a tough time keeping up. With the advancements always being made to this product it would be very difficult, if not impossible, to ever match up to what this product has already become.
There was also a lot of other types of viral advertising types of products. These ranged from viral ads, or viral types of link cloakers. Some were quite good, well others simply didn't deliver on their promises as far as the traffic you would be generating as a result of their use. The top ones that came to light would be Frank Bauer's Viral URL, Brett Ingram's Viral Link Tracker and also Chris Haywood's Viral Pop Ads. The one unfortunate thing that I did notice with some of these products is that when a lot of people started to use the systems, the loading time for web pages that were using the links supplied by the sites became very, very sluggish. But, Frank Bauer's Viral URL does seem to be unaffected by this, at least as far as I can tell.
Near the end of 2007, we also seen a few great viral softwares popping up. These softwares by a company called IM Buzz Creators are still being released on a monthly basis. So far, every one of them seem to be of very good quality and their viral aspects are fantastic. Considering you can rebrand any of these softwares with your own name, banners and links, each one of these are definitely worth the investment.
There are some great uses for getting these softwares to go to work for you with your viral marketing strategies.
Firstly, you can sell the software for whatever price you would like to. When you buy one of these buzz softwares, you now have the re-branding and resell rights to each software. You can make some fast sells to your current subscriber list because you can price it reasonably and many people will enjoy getting it for a great price.
Secondly, if you are inclined to do so, you could also just give it away. You could give this to your subscriber list or directly from one of your websites for absolutely nothing. Giving it away for free might not appeal to as many people out there, but you have to look at the big picture when your giving software such as this away. The big picture is that anybody that uses this software will have links to your other products or affiliate products you may be promoting in the software itself. If anybody who clicks on one of these links decides to purchase the product then you are credited with the sale. Very powerful indeed!
This method of giving it away can also be carried a step further. You can also give the person that acquired the software through you, giveaway rights to the software. This way, he/she is free to give it to his/her friends, or perhaps their own list, or from their web site and benefit themselves somewhat as they are creating a good relationship with people by simply giving it to them. You in turn benefit since it is being spread virally and carrying your very own links.
The last method that you could use in your viral marketing strategies is to make this software available to members of a membership site in which you own. By doing this, you are supplying your members with good software for their own use, it carries your links and well you know the rest of the story. Viral software is here to stay, and the sooner you take advantage of using it with your marketing the better off you will be in the future.
Applying viral marketing strategies and tactics will, in time, create a cascading effect in which you will notice having a profound effect on sales in your immediate or near future!
